Oh my Simon, this is beautiful! Love the colours.

Hi Liz thanks, I am trying desperately not to repeat myself too much, but I suppose if you have a particular view of life it cant be helped.

Simon, the subtle yellow and maroon top right do it for me and those strokes of light navy blue across the painting. It's a colour symphony. Yeh, trying to escape from ourselves is not easy but I'm finding that as with everyone there are many sides to my "persona" if you like and sometimes it seems appropriate to tap into a different angle. I find the old themes reappear though and am somewhat heartened by that. Don't fight it!

Hi Sheila, comments appreciated, strange I started this blog being almost solely interested in spatial ideas, now I find myself with more abstract colour and texture themes, but they still need a germ of an idea to feed on. Am full of respect for your recent figure theme, seems such a fruitful idea, I may go there myself. Have got a mysterious door on half, but am feeling bored with it.

I have, Simon, you are fighting as a "kosako".

Thanks Vicente.

Those "dank" colors combine beautifully with the hopeful golden ones!

Hi Linney, thanks for visiting, yes the colours certainly are dank around here this time of year, a few flowers in the garden seem to be hanging in there, it does provide a nice background for the brighter colours.

Hello Simon,
I really respond to the moodiness of your work.

Hi Charles thanks for visiting, comment appreciated, your stuff is pretty damn accomplished.

I like this unique viewpoint of yours; the colors are wonderful and it leaves a lot to the imagination.

Hi Leslie, thanks for visiting, the crop is something that came right at the end, after the paint was dry.
