This was a real pain to reproduce, tried scanning it, lots of reflections, tried photography ,low lights 3 seconds exposure, still reflections, maybe cos the whole tone is quite dark
Hi Ramesh, yes reflections, looking at this reproduction again I can see its out of focus on the left, I normally use an A3 scanner, but this was a photo.
Simon, that's a real cracker, love how the sky is structured almost to mirror the land below. Would love to see it for real. Wonderful depth of colour - but yes, these dark ones are so difficult to reproduce digitally.
Hi Sheila loved the scene because the whole town is unified by being in the sunset. Got idea when walking along street in my home town and there was a crash of thunder and everyone looked up in unison, it kind of cuts through our separateness. Its neat to have an ordering principle within the jumble of buildings and people.
Hi Simon This is my first visit to your blog. Despite being familiar with your illustration work for some years now(!), you never cease to amaze me. This is beautiful work; I love the depth to your paintings, both the watercolours and the oils. Nothing wishy-washy or tentative here... A man after my own heart. Keep up the good work!

I also get similar problems in reproducing my pastel paintings!
atmospheric, breathtaking, reflective... those are just some adjectives that came to mind:)r.

It looks nice though a little bit dark. but this is a sunset, is not it? so, it is ok. lol! Orange color is wonderful at this oic!
