Incredible use of subtle colour here Simon. Love the loneliness of it and that suggestion of a window to the top right. Can feel the night air on my face.
Thanks Sheila, these comments are quite enlightening on way people comprehend this painting. I started it with completely different intentions. Kind of shows its often best to just let a painting evolve. With watercolour you can endlessly throw paint and really move the composition around, in oils its so easy to ruin an OK painting.
