Dryslwyn track, plein air acrylic 30cms wide

This benefits a lot from viewing large.

I think my favourite bit is that smudge of smoky blue on the fields top right. Acrylics just do that so well (whilst at the same time acknowledging the superior skill of the painter of course). Hey, what's all this plein air stuff. Is it because of the nice weather? I was thinking of taking a holiday in Tenby. Have you been?

Thanks, yes lovely weather, and clients off work. We are off to Tenby tomorrow, all being well, its a great place, walled town, lots of super Georgian architecture, compact, buildings go to edge of cliffs, lovely beaches, then theres lots of other good villages around there, St Florence etc. Its a bit touristy though, but that means lots of hotels, and fairly decent food. Let me know if you are in the area.

Yep, will do - we could meet up for a chat - but I don't have anything firmed up yet. Great to know you know Tenby. It sounds really attractive place on the internet. Nearest I have been is St. Davids. The Pembrokeshire coast is nicer than Cornwall I think. Have a great holiday Simon.

Thanks Linny, might re crop this, its not looking as I intended. The sketch was so simple and good, then it got over complex, then I cropped it right down to retain a simple dynamic composition....
